Hidden gem. A must play for any golfer. The layout is excellent and very easy on the eye. Already looking forward to returning!
Top course, very picturesque, great greens, I would definitely play there again.
Having recently played a number of courses in Scotland, Dalmahoy, The Torrance, Gullane No.2 – I made my way back south via the A68 with the intention of playing The Roxburghe. Unfortunately they were fully booked with a corporate day, but I was advised to visit Jedburgh and it did not disappoint! For me, this is one of the best tracks I have played in a long time, it isn’t the longest, but if you don’t plan your way round the course you will be punished! There are some truly superb holes on this course with the par 3 7th showing itself as one of the best par 3’s I have played in a long time and the signature par 4 13th is simply stunning. It truly is a hidden gem in the heart of the Borders, one word – Superb!
A thoroughly enjoyable track and excellent value. The day before we played there had been a ridiculous amount of good old Scottish rain and the course was bone dry. Considering this is a small club, the standard of the course is outstanding. I really liked the layout, you had to plot your way around some of the tricky par 4’s, but could open your shoulders on the longer ones. The par 3’s were a real test and the signature 13th hole is a joy. I will definitely play again when I return to the Borders!
This course is a real treat and fun to play. Stunning views and rather hilly but worth it. Get a buggy if you can! Conditions excellent! Can’t wait to play again.
Great Course in Great Condition and with very helpful people, thoroughly enjoyable day and some cracking holes!!!!
Course is in excellent condition with a great variation of holes and tight greens to offer up a great challenge. An absolute steal at £30 for a round at a weekend!
A testing challenge with varied holes and small greens. It was a very windy day so conditions were challenging but there are some very interesting holes with stunning views. Be careful of ditches and water hazards. The greens were a bit on the slow side. There were no catering facilities open on the day we played but their very friendly members did offer us a cup of tea which was very nice. It seems to be a very friendly members club and the green staff were very chatty and friendly too.
Not my kind of course, more like mountain climbing than golf.
A new greenkeeper, with help from members has made a dramatic improvement to Jedburgh golf course. Really enjoyed the round with good fairways and greatly improved greens.
We were staying locally and was recommended playing Jedburgh and what a great course it is! Greens were running true and after a very rainy month, the course was dry. A great mix of holes and some well positioned bunkers keep you honest. Don’t be fooled by the shorter yardage. Worth playing for the 13th & 14th holes alone. Bar staff were friendly and food brilliant, we will be back on our next visit!
Beautiful scenic course. Very well kept. Green keepers doing great job. Only criticism is you have to cut across the 4th, 12th and 1st fairways to get to the next tee boxes but not the end of the world. Great course and friendly atmosphere. Would definitely recommend to anyone and would play it again.
This lovely little golf course is very well presented and offers a few risk & reward holes that really make it interesting. The signature par 4 13th really is spectacular, with views for miles from the tee and a beautifully set green, just don’t be short! We were round in under 4 hours in a fourball and the staff in the clubhouse allowed us to go our earlier than booked as we were ready, and she even stayed back after hours to cook us a brilliant meal. Can’t wait to come and play again, this course gets better every time I play it, and I always look forward to playing when I come up to Scotland. We didn’t use buggies but there are some available, and there is the odd hill on the course, with it being set in a valley, so if you struggle with a walk I highly recommend a buggy.
